About Us

Who We Are

LexisGhana is a Ghana-focused legal education and advisory platform dedicated to making family and inheritance law accessible.

The platform exists because many Ghanaians make critical decisions about marriage, divorce, custody, wills, and inheritance based on misinformation, cultural assumptions, or informal advice. These misunderstandings often lead to avoidable disputes and lasting harm to families.

LexisGhana bridges the gap between what the law actually says and what people believe it says. Through clear, plain-language explanations grounded in Ghanaian statutes, case law, and court practice, we help individuals and families understand their legal rights and responsibilities before conflict escalates.

Our work is guided by legal accuracy, respect for human dignity, especially that of children, and a moral grounding informed by Judeo-Christian family values, without compromising legal objectivity.

LexisGhana is designed to educate and orient, not to replace professional legal representation, so that when legal action becomes necessary, it is taken with clarity and responsibility.

What We Do

LexisGhana provides:

  • Plain-language explanations of Ghana’s family and inheritance laws

  • Legal education articles and guides for the general public

  • Strategic legal insights for people facing real disputes or decisions

  • Thoughtful commentary correcting viral misinformation about Ghanaian law

  • Access to a licensed lawyer near you

While LexisGhana is not a substitute for formal legal representation, it is designed to help you ask the right questions, avoid costly mistakes, and approach legal issues with clarity and confidence.

Our Vision

To become Ghana’s most trusted public authority on family and inheritance law,  a platform people turn to before conflict escalates, not after damage is done.

In time, LexisGhana aims to expand beyond education into broader initiatives aligned with family stability, legal reform, and social responsibility.

Founder & Editor

K. A. Quashie-Sam esq PortraitLexisGhana was founded by Kofi A. Quashie-Sam, a Ghanaian lawyer with over a decade of experience at the Bar.

Kofi has advised and represented individuals and families across a wide range of family-related legal issues, including marriage disputes, divorce, separation, alimony, settlement, custody, trusts, wills, and inheritance matters. Over the years, he observed a recurring problem: many legal disputes are not caused by bad intentions, but by deep confusion about the law and rights. LexisGhana was born out of that realisation.

Beyond legal practice, Kofi has a strong interest in legal education, writing, and public education. He believes that the law works best when ordinary people understand both its letter and its spirit.

His work is guided by a Christian worldview that values responsibility, covenant and the nuclear family as the foundational unit of civilised society.

Contributing Authors & Commentary

LexisGhana also publishes selected articles and commentary from other legal professionals, academics, and writers whose work aligns with the platform’s focus and standards.
